Attending the opera on a hot summer night in Verona is one of Italy’s great travel experiences. Every summer the city’s imposing and majestic Roman open-air Arena Amphitheatre is taken over by grandiose opera productions on an epic scale. The 2000 year old Arena is one of the world’s most remarkable opera houses, evoking an atmosphere like nowhere else and truly inspiring some electrifying performances from the world’s greatest opera singers, performers and musicians. The Arena is situated in Piazza Brà, a large square that is the main entrance point to the historic heart of Verona.

HOW TO REACH THE ARENA FROM LAKE GARDA By car. The roads that connect Verona with Lake Garda are often very fascinating and suggestive and it’s worthwhile driving along them to the A4/E70 motorway if you’re on the west bank of the lake or A22/E45 if on the other hand you’re in the east bank. Alternatively, you can take one of the lake’s ferries that carry cars to move easily from one bank to the other. By train. If you want to travel by rail to visit the neighbourhood of Lake Garda, the best thing to do is go to Desenzano or Peschiera del Garda, on the south bank of the lake. PARKING You can book your parking space at the Saba Parcheggi car parks, all a short distance from the Arena di Verona: Arena Car Park (Via M. Bentegodi, 8), Arsenale Car Park(Piazza Arsenale, 8), Isolo Car Park (Via Ponte Pignolo, 6/c), Polo Zanotto Car Park (Viale Università, 4). VISIT VERONA If you come to Verona to attend one of the performances of the Arena Opera Festival, you should definitely visit the beautiful Verona city center and discover the unforgettable monuments and museums like Juliet's House. Check out our Verona Card, which allows you free or discounted entrances to many places and unlimited rides on the city buses. BAD WEATHER Should weather conditions prevent a performance from being staged as scheduled, Fondazione Arena di Verona may postpone the beginning by up to 150 minutes. In the event of a performance being stopped after it has begun, spectators will have no right to a refund of the ticket price. See the regulations for further information. FOOD AND DRINKS It is not possible to bring food or drinks into the Arena. Plastic bottles larger than 0.5 litres and any other bottle, container or glass/plastic objects are forbidden, as are any other blunt instruments that could cause damage to oneself or others. SPECTATORS WITH DISABILITIES Disabled spectators will have the right to a seat for themselves and for an accompanying adult in the area reserved in the stalls as per current regulations until said seats are filled, purchasing a ticket that will have the lowest full price according to the price list for the evening chosen (32 Euro).Requests for booking the foresaid tickets can only be made by contacting the Ticket Office Management (info@holli-day.com), indicating the date of the show in question, the type of disability and sending a copy of the disability certificate along with the appropriate form provided by Fondazione Arena.
